S.S. Lorelei: Emergence: The sculpture by Flaming Lotus Girl
Angela Knowles depicts the ship rising out from the playa. According to legend, Lorelei had drowned herself
on the Rhine out of despair over a faithless lover, and became a siren whose songs lured sailors upon
that river to join her in death.
