Candor

There were reporters, photographers, and TV crews wandering from group to group within City Hall, many looking to simply to catch a soundbite or a shot of a kissing couple, then moving on.  One photographer from Spain spent an entire day trying to hunt down and collect at least one photo of each couple wedded that day.  Others worked as I did, spenting time tailing each couple.  I walked some of them from their appointment at the County Clerk's office all the way to officially recording the license at the Accessor/Recorder's office.  My camera caught many candid moments, such as this scene in the elevator while this couple and I were riding up to meet up with the rest of the wedding party.  Large SLR cameras usually make people suspicious, but as my presence wore on, most people became more receptive to having their pictures taken.

This couple was married on the same day as Rosie O'Donnell, and we wound up having to take some side staircases as the crowd swelled to anticipate her arrival.
