Aside from (many) ring fiascos (including one which had me and others crawling along the floor to see find where a dropped ring rolled--fortunately this was before they began), ceremonies were variously interrupted by cell phones ringing, babies crying, noise from other parties, and in a couple of instances, overaggressive protesters (who were promptly escorted out by security). But it was the planned interruptions that proved most interesting: for instance, one couple had one of the brides reading a line of poetry in German, and then the other providing the translation for it. Other "stoppages" included someone pulling out a guitar to serenade the couple, extended vows of all kinds, and even couples singing to each other.

I saw hundreds of weddings, and no two were identical. It was remarkable.
